Event Plotting Post: The Walls of Jericho
Greetings, residents of the Meadous and vistors! Our 4th Wall event is right around the corner. To help facilitate this, we’ve pulled together some world descriptions and FAQs that should help anyone coming to visit the Meadous and surrounding godling lands get situated. For this event, We the Lost will be allowing:
TL;DR - We the Lost is having a 4th Wall Event. It will take place ICly over a two-week period and open up seven additional godling realms to explore. Any and all characters are welcome for this event, be they straight from canon, CRAU, or CRAU’d into a godling realm.
THE WALLS OF JERICHO
The Events Calendar post for the plot is HERE
First and foremost, what is this event? We the Lost is a CRAU Slice of Life game set in the realm of a young godling. Every young godling in the WtL-verse develops a world unique to them and pulls people in to populate it and help them grow. Each godling is influenced by their ‘flock,’ although they all have some basic personality traits that help them make their initial flock selection. The characters in WtL have so far given their godling a name: Zephyr, and a form that changes with the seasons.
Godling worlds are small to start and they expand as the power of the godling expands. There is also a barrier placed around each world, something that separates the godlings’ pocket universes from one another and protects the population from the dangers that run rampant between the worlds. Once a god is mature enough, their barrier will come down. Until that happens, though, the wall is kept in place, holding the inhabitants in and the rest of the world out.
On January 30th, an event on the plane of the gods will shatter the barriers between worlds, breaking down the walls and exposing nearby godling realms to one another as well as the spaces between.
This event will have three effects:
This effect will last for two weeks (until February 13th) when the god plane will sort itself out, the barriers will be restored, everyone from the godling worlds will be put back in the right place, and anyone brought straight from canon or another game will be returned ‘home.’
The godlings will be frantically trying to sort out the situation on the god plane with the older gods and will be largely unavailable. However, they may check in now and again. More information on each of the gods and their worlds is provided below. the worlds open during this event will include:
WtL DOES NOT have a network comm. To facilitate communication for this event, a universal ‘Bulletin Board’ will be put up where people in different realms will be able to communicate.

She's genuinely kind, affectionate, patient and caring. If you're a kid character she'll likely make sure you eat your veggies. If your adult bothering a child, she'll punch you across the room or set you on fire. She's a powerful boss monster with a soft spot.
Toriel has been in Aria since the beginning. She's seen the small godling grow and is settles in this very pink and fluffy world. She's likely met most of the residents and offered them some pie given a chance.

Eileen definitely showed up to Aria with multiple serious injuries, and then a few weeks in she probably goes through some sort of blood withdrawl. She'd be really hesitant to accept help from a monster at first, but if Toriel helped her through those things, Eileen would begin to truly trust her.
Add another four years of friendship after that and it's hard to imagine them not being friends.

Much like with Eileen, Luke has probably avoided Toriel. Her mothering will remind him of his own mum, who he misses terribly. She's also not human, and he's positively terrified of that aspect of her--while also being rather curious. He can't quite reconcile the two, so he probably pokes around nearby and then scurries off. If she approaches him, he's nothing but polite...but very nervous.
If she continues to approach and mom at him, though, he'll start to warm up to her. He's had a pretty rough go of things in Discedo, so he's unfortunately not the most immediately trusting anymore. It takes him time.

Eileen falls under the category of Caregivers, but only technically. Her job in her home canon is to put down monster hunters who have themselves started to lose their minds/change into monsters. A lot of these people were her friends for years (and also are very good at fighting), so it isn't an easy job for her to do. But it's a necessary one.
Which is to say, she doesn't really fit in well with the spirit of this godling's world, but that's sort of the fun of it.
She's pretty dang old in her home canon, and I plan on AUing her into Aria from the very start of it, which means that she'll be almost 70 by the time this event happens! She's (warily) watched Lalilia grow into the being she is today, and tries to act as something of a stern grandmother figure. She chooses her words wisely when speaking directly to the godling (although she is fond of her), but is a lot more informal around her fellow citizens of Aria (Arianders?).
She'll be civil, even somewhat friendly, although she silently keeps an eye on them and takes notes of any outbursts they might have. She's also particularly wary of non-human residents of Aria, although she'll warm up to them too with time.
Oh, lastly she'll be viewing this event as one last adventure, and be picking up her blades for (what she assumes will be) the final time. Living in Aria was a nice enough vacation and all but she's always been fairly certain that shit was going to hit the fan at some point and now she's had those suspicions confirmed.
tl;dr fatalistic bird grandma. Have fun with that.

Luke in actual canon is quite outgoing and friendly, but after his time in Discedo he's withdrawn quite a bit, particularly where I'm pulling him from. He wants to help, but he's all of like...twelve. And small. He can't build things, because he can't reach stuff to build. And he can't heal, because he doesn't have any magical abilities. He just wants to help people feel better but ninety percent of the time he'd really rather just hide from you all
So please bird grandma. In Discedo he had a Zombie dad who took very good care of him

Booker DeWitt | Bioshock Infinite
More than likely Booker's sort of the black sheep of the Aria flock - which is saying something because we've got a plague doctor avenging angel in here as well (no offense, Eileen). To put it simply, Booker is a former Pinkerton Detective (or strikebreaker, responsible for getting those rowdy unionists back in line) and a veteran of the Battle of Wounded Knee (now much better known as the Wounded Knee Massacre, and for good reason). Also, mouse over for spoilers.
So he's kind of a bad person who's very much haunted by his mistakes, of which there are many. Probably the only reason he qualifies to be here is that be was tasked to retrieve a young girl from a rogue citystate in the sky and wound up getting much more attached to and protective of her than he intended. Also he's pretty competent at fabricating basic tools and structures, having been a soldier in the late 1800's, but, you know. Mostly he's a really shitty dad.
Booker mostly keeps to himself - he doesn't want any trouble and is well aware that he tends to attract it - but he's been around for a good couple of years or so and in worlds this small it's hard not to get familiar with a few people. Mostly he comes across as awkward and kind of gruff.
no subject
Anyway Eileen is almost certainly pretty fond of Booker. As someone who has spent their life killing, she can recognize him as a kindred spirit in that regard. Granted, she can justify (at least to herself) most of the lives she's taken, whereas he probably can't, but I imagine after some time together they've formed a bond over having lived lives of violence. He's the sort of friend that's nice to sit at a bar and drink with.
Also depending on whether or not there's actually a bar in Aria at all, they might need to take turns making their own varieties of homemade liquor in their twighouses. That could be fun too.

She'll be really happy to see him, but also like 'WELL, HI' awkward. So awkward. It's been a yearish since she's seen Booker and she missed this violent weirdo. She'll just be relieved he's been comfortable and kind of happy somewhere.

I like to think their similar field of work at least made Bigby approach him without godly prodding to try and be friendly. Probably shared weird cases and compared notes.

Re: Booker DeWitt | Bioshock Infinite
That....that counts as an interaction. It counts. Right?
Donna Noble (Doctor Who) | My Little Jamjar CRAU
She's also coming off about a year and a half of being a pony in My Little Jamjar, though she'll have worked out wishing herself human again by this point. She's spent a year in Aria and is working on developing a full spa for people to relax in. She was sort of hoping to actually go home and continue her adventures with the Doctor, but she's also aware of the fact that she is canonically going to lose her memory of him not too much further down her personal timeline. They worked out a way to possibly prevent this in MLJ, but they don't have any actual guarantees it will work. Thus, she's not too put off by being stuck somewhere else, just missing her friends.

Bigby is just this detective noir character who offered Donna a friendlyish/awkward greeting and makes the occasional small talk when they're together. Bigby is an awkward wolf around normalish humans. Tries to be friendly, probably just makes Donna go ????

Patrick "Rick" Dawn | OC
Rick has never been the dominant force within his circle of friends or this business--he's meek, easily manipulated and frequently crumbles under pressure--but he still works in the background as a vigilant supporter whose primary goal has always been to make people happy and help them the best he can. This extends to his abilities as well: Rick is a nontraditional shapeshifter who takes in the souls of dying animals and harbors them in his own mind, letting them live through him by taking on their form. When he was brought to Aria he could turn into a housecat, Rusty; a collie, Toby; a horse, Laurence; a tiger, Mittens; and a juvenile tyrannosaurus, simply known as "the Dinosaur." Since he arrived four years ago, maybe he's picked up other forms? That might be neat to consider.
As in life, Rick mostly sticks to the background here and does otherwise menial tasks to keep the world neat and tidy and a pleasant place to live, such as tending to the birds or repairing structures damaged by wind and whatnot. His animal forms sometimes get into more trouble; Rusty in particular has probably attempted to terrorize the flock and the Dinosaur is...the Dinosaur. Generally well-behaved but kind of restless and hard to miss when he's out. Rick likely spends most of his time playing with and caring for Lalila honestly--like the little chimera rat baby he never had. So sweet.

Sorry bruh.
Eileen is probably civil enough in Rick's direction, but she keeps her distance when he's in any of his animal forms and takes notes of the trouble they get into. It takes her a hella long time to trust him because there's something inherently untrustworthy about a man who changes into beasts at will, but she's almost certainly warmed up to his human from by now.

Bigby Wolf - AU
She's been in Aria since the start and genuinely is kind of used to the low paced life style going on.
Genuinely relieved that she isn't being shit on constantly for helping people.Whilst she missed the other Fable's she gets on well enough with the other residents. Very likely to be relieved she isn't the only quick on the draw person around.(no subject)

Voted most likely to make joking(?) offers to dissect everyone except Lala. Most likely to set up torii gates on the path to the wishing tree.

Greg Universe | Steven Universe (Cosmographia CRAU)
Greg Universe is a washed-up rock musician turned car wash owner, whose late common-law wife was an eight foot tall alien space rock named Rose Quartz. She was very smart, very brave, and very beautiful. Greg himself is a nice, sensible guy with a couple... quirks. He likes most people, however, with very few exceptions. (Those would be his ex-manager, Marty, and this asshole from Waverly Bay, Bill.)
The fluffy pink clouds really remind him of Rose's bedroom.

Garnet - Steven Universe
For anyone not in the know, Garnet is literally a pair of living rocks that is also a space alien. She's pretty quiet, but confident and generally content to observe problems opposed to directly meddle without Steven being present. She's very chill, stern and usually a voice of reason to a point.
She's been in Aria for three years and pretty comfortable. Usually breaks up fights and keep some semblance of peace. Garnet is pretty fond of Lailia by this point.

Luke Triton Professor Layton (Discedo CRAU)
Most of the time, it's pretty obvious that this small child would like to be friends with you. However, he's shy--he tends to hang back when interacting with new people, even those who have been in Aria the longest.
Anyone who asks him about that puzzle book that he brought with him from Discedo, though? They will become instant best friends--provided they don't go on to make fun of it.
What qualifies him to be here of all the worlds? He wants to help, more than anything. It's the most he interacts with others in Aria, above and beyond simple greetings. Did you fall and skins your knee? Luke will stop what he's doing to try and help. Are you moving boxes around in your shop? Luke can't reach that shelf but it's not going to stop him from trying. Posting about how you need a good chicken soup recipe because you've been sick lately? Not much of a cook, but this little apprentice will bring you the best root remedy tea to help you feel better and nurse you back to health.
