Event Plotting Post: The Walls of Jericho
Greetings, residents of the Meadous and vistors! Our 4th Wall event is right around the corner. To help facilitate this, we’ve pulled together some world descriptions and FAQs that should help anyone coming to visit the Meadous and surrounding godling lands get situated. For this event, We the Lost will be allowing:
TL;DR - We the Lost is having a 4th Wall Event. It will take place ICly over a two-week period and open up seven additional godling realms to explore. Any and all characters are welcome for this event, be they straight from canon, CRAU, or CRAU’d into a godling realm.
THE WALLS OF JERICHO
The Events Calendar post for the plot is HERE
First and foremost, what is this event? We the Lost is a CRAU Slice of Life game set in the realm of a young godling. Every young godling in the WtL-verse develops a world unique to them and pulls people in to populate it and help them grow. Each godling is influenced by their ‘flock,’ although they all have some basic personality traits that help them make their initial flock selection. The characters in WtL have so far given their godling a name: Zephyr, and a form that changes with the seasons.
Godling worlds are small to start and they expand as the power of the godling expands. There is also a barrier placed around each world, something that separates the godlings’ pocket universes from one another and protects the population from the dangers that run rampant between the worlds. Once a god is mature enough, their barrier will come down. Until that happens, though, the wall is kept in place, holding the inhabitants in and the rest of the world out.
On January 30th, an event on the plane of the gods will shatter the barriers between worlds, breaking down the walls and exposing nearby godling realms to one another as well as the spaces between.
This event will have three effects:
This effect will last for two weeks (until February 13th) when the god plane will sort itself out, the barriers will be restored, everyone from the godling worlds will be put back in the right place, and anyone brought straight from canon or another game will be returned ‘home.’
The godlings will be frantically trying to sort out the situation on the god plane with the older gods and will be largely unavailable. However, they may check in now and again. More information on each of the gods and their worlds is provided below. the worlds open during this event will include:
WtL DOES NOT have a network comm. To facilitate communication for this event, a universal ‘Bulletin Board’ will be put up where people in different realms will be able to communicate.

This event will have three effects:
- There will be an unexpected and unmanageable ‘pull’ out in the multi-verse that will drag in characters straight from canon or from other games and drop them into unsuspecting godling lands.
- Characters already within godling realms will be ‘flung’ across their own plane and may wind up in a different godling world than the one they started in.
- Travel between worlds will be possible.

Samudra - Unnamed Godling
Nicknames: The Collector, The Creature, Deep Blue
Selection Criteria: Unique, Flashy, Prideful, Confident
World Age: 2.25 Years
World Size: 8 cubic miles (2 miles x 2 miles x 2 miles)
Level of Technology: High-tech
Weather: What weather? Given that the entirety of Samudra is underwater, there is no weather to speak of--at least not the usual kind. There are only two seasons in Samudra: warm and cool. Temperature does not vary greatly, but when it does change, the flow of the currents changes as well. Whirlpools spring up in when the currents shift at the beginning and end of seasons. If one is not careful of the time of year, they could be accidentally swept out into the open water, far from the safety of the city.
Dwellings: Dwelling are (fortunately for many residents) made from air-filled caverns deep below the surface of the water. Lighting is provided by strips of neon colored lights that run along the top and bottom of every room and passageway. The ocean is accessible by a pool of water that leads down into a tunnel and out into the open water. Swimming gear is often provided in lockers near these pools, available to anyone who cannot swim or breathe underwater. Some of the abodes are connected through a series of passageways that allow for land-based travel, though residents may find that not all areas can be reached without taking a brief swim outside.
Godling Demeanor: The godling that presides over Samudra is aloof in nature. Raised by people who have expressed their confidence and uniqueness, the godling tends to them like the rarities that they are. They are kept possessively close, but they are also well protected and cared for. However, the godling rarely speaks to them, preferring to watch silently as they go about their business. Whenever they do communicate, they give the impression of being cold and somewhat removed from their flock’s emotional wellbeing.
Godling Appearance: Very few members of the flock have seen the full extent of Samudra’s caretaker, but some have caught glimpses. When they do manifest in the world, it is as a gargantuan creature, rising from the depths. It pulls itself along by grasping at structures with tentacles as thick as a man is tall, though never with intent to damage anything that its flock has created--or the flock itself. The flesh is mottled deep blue and purple, bordering on black in the dim light of the deep ocean. If any of the flock dares to approach the godling, they would find that up close their manifestation is vague and shaky at times, as if requiring a great deal of unpredictable energy in order to maintain their form.
Setting:
Above the waves, there are no clouds, no rain, no moon, no stars. There is only a vast unending ocean and one singular sun that seems permanently fixed in the blue-grey sky directly overhead. Below the water is another matter.
Samudra’s real residence is the city below the surface of the ocean. Coral, stone, metal, and tech are seamlessly intertwined into buildings that canvas the ocean floor. Bright neon lights illuminate the dimness, both inside and out in long strips and short bursts alike. Water-tight sets of double doors seal the entrances and exits, allowing the water to drain from the chamber before opening to the interior of the building. Furnishings are made from coral and lavishly decorated to the owner’s tastes. The overall feel of the city is somewhat organic and very futuristic.
Among the many notable buildings that can be found is the Biosphere, made for the purpose of housing crops to sustain the city. Everything from fresh fruits to vegetables to grains can be found under this artificially lit greenhouse. Machines have been provided to ease the labor required in harvesting these resources. In fact, there are many machines that have been provided around the city to assist in relieving any labor intensive or menial jobs that the residents may not wish to do.
Another large glass-domed building raised above the city skyline serves as viewing port to observe the aquatic life that passes around and over the building. It also doubles as a fishery, where schools of fish and sea creatures can be herded up into the building through shafts beneath the dome for the purpose of meat harvesting.
Not all of the creatures in the sea are willing to be preyed on, however. Like the residents of the city, some of the sea creatures are unique and terrifying specimens in their own right. They swim freely through the murky darkness of the water, keeping their distance from the bright lights of the town. Warnings are posted at the edge of the city not to swim too far out into open ocean. The message is clear: The city is for people, the rest of the ocean is for the other creatures.
While most of the city itself is made of tall buildings and narrow passages between, there is one open place in the very center of Samudra. A deep circular pit, one hundred yards in diameter, stretches down from the lowest floor of the city, consuming all light as it goes and leaving the bottom shrouded in darkness. It is here that residents may come to cast their wishes into the abyss in the hope that their godling might hear them. At times, a lucky resident may even hear a response from the godling: deep groaning whale noises or a series of low chittering clicks from the inky abyss.
Communication with the godling may be difficult, but communication between the flock is much less hands-off. Each resident is provided with a touchscreen console set into the wall of their home. This console can access any other console in the city and can be linked to touch or voice recognition, providing a means for public or private conversation anywhere in Samudra. Furthermore, wristwatches with the same capabilities have been added by resident request, and public conversations are also displayed on several billboard-size screens on the outside of the buildings. Public posting of inappropriate and/or graphic material carries a community-enforced punishment.

Plotting
Papyrus | Undertale
This noisy skeleton hails from Undertale, where he is a Royal Guard-in-training who is not...actually very good at his job. He's very tough and passionate about doing what he does, but he's also too compassionate about that passion. Meaning he couldn't hurt a fly. He has a lot of fun trying to capture humans, though!
Papyrus has been in Samudra for about a year, and he has appointed himself as guard of the city, policing various stations around the edge of town to make sure that everyone is aware of the dangers out there. He may have also tried to install puzzles and fences, since he can't be everywhere at once! But those don't work very well. Just swim around them.
His one disappointment with this place as that while he was allowed to bring his shiny red sports car, he still has nowhere to drive it. So it remains in his room, where he uses it as a bed instead of the one provided to him. Conveniently, he has a spare bed, if anyone needs it!
His pleas to have an above-water racetrack built have gone unanswered... But he keeps trying to wish for it anyway. Daily. Sometimes more.
Ever since the rule was posted about inappropriate material being prohibited, he also tends to police the billboard screens. Some residents have resorted to using innuendo, which goes straight over his head.

Undyne is definitely going to find herself in watertown
she misses water that isn't a flash flood, thx Ara. She is going to be supremely excited and worried about this goofus when she sees him. Like I said on plurk, she'll probably threaten anyone who looks at him funny. She's missed her friend, ok, ok.

Prepare yourself for lots of talk about how he is making things so safe in water town! Which reminds him a lot of Waterfell! Because there's a lot of water!
And maybe he can visit some places where he gets to actually meet the sun! Where it's not filtered by two miles of ocean above him.

Also be super comfortable hurting things if he can't..... :TT

For those not familiar with Dragon Age, Dorian is a mage from a pseudo-Roman/Byzantine Empire mashup. Dragons aren't actually a huge part of his setting. It's focused more on demons, possessions, the undead, politics, and religious disputes.
Dorian is pretty flashy and can come across as arrogant or condescending. He loves knowledge for its own sake and is very interested in learning about people and where they come from. He tries to get along with most people if occasionally ineptly.

I'd also really love to throw my We the Lost character Bertie Wooster at you. He's an upper class twit who is best friends with a necromancer in the game who would find Dorian's world and magic fascinating... even if he really won't understand most of it. He's eager and willing to listen and ooo and ah like an attentive audience, though.

lakshmibai | the order: 1886 | straight outta canon
She's a queen, turned rebel leader, immortal, hunter of werewolves & vampires and number one cause of massive property damage to england. Her canon is set in the steampunk alternate history world where the supernatural is very much part of society, and werewolves are an everyday problem in london. Lakshmi is the queen of a kingdom in northern India, but the British took it off her, also infected it via the United India company with vampires, objecting to both these things, she took up arms and has in one form or another, been fighting them first in India, then in England after she faked her own death ( heroically in battle, ofc ).
She's that special kind of arrogant rulers often are, pretty snarky, and supremely confident in her cause
and very unrepentant about the things she's blown up. She will try to do her very best by her godling, and look to be as active member of his flock as she can. She'll be a little on edge about not being able to continue her underground war, but as long as she can keep busy, she'll be calm. She will be very curious, and interested in poking everything, at a bit of a loss with the technology, and looking for work in something that will keep her active and her senses sharp. Also, inclined to stab first and ask questions later if anyone happens to be a werewolf or vampire. She's not very sorry about that knee jerk reaction, so if anyone would like to mess around with that, bless, feel free! Also she will be happily exploring and going swimming around the caves themselves.

Eileen comes from a city that very much has a monster (particularly a wolf monster, but there are other kinds of monsters as well) problem. On the night in which she was brought from canon, in fact, the beasts outnumbered the people by quite a large number. Of the monsters in Yharnam, Eileen specifically hunts other monster hunters who have either been turned or who are about to turn. That's been her life for the past several decades, before she was brought to Aria.
Unfortunately, Eileen is most certainly not immortal, and she's she's really showing her age (she's in her sixties in canon, but after 4 years of being in Aria she'll be almost seventy).
Anyway, it'd be cool to have these two meet! They can talk about the more troublesome monsters they've dealt with and exchange war stories.
Also they can discuss which of the monsters in this place are off limits and which should probably be hunted(no subject)

Zed | Ressha Sentai ToQGer | The Games CRAU
He's got all the qualities this godling looks for, and he's not too bothered by being here. He's probably a local pain in the butt for everyone, as his obsession with shiny things can easily make him annoying. He discovered body glitter in the Games and made a nuisance of himself with it, so he's likely ended up accidentally covering everything in glitter once or twice here, and he has also been seeking to create water-resistant body glitter. Glitter: it's important.

Theo Crawford | OC | Formerly Mayfield and WtL
He'll also be his usual bowl full of rainbows and unicorns self. And by that I mean he'll be bitching up a storm about getting dragged somewhere again, while being quietly happy about not being dead once again.
Dakota "Codi" Perkins | OC
Codi has been in Samudra for the better part of two years and has more or less maintained her previous position. She would have been very adamant about having her company returned to her at first--naturally keeping its true nature and her powers a secret--until she settled in more and realized the types of people being brought in and the scale of the world and the mutliverse in general, at which point she would quickly switch tracks to oversee this world instead. Codi envisions herself as the hero of every story and actively works towards making this a reality, usually through very political means: She's a busybody, she makes herself the center of attention wherever she goes, and she knows how to make debts and use them to her advantage to try and get people exactly where she wants them to be (usually under her thumb, if she can help it). (Un)fortunately Codi doesn't quite have the patience to pull this off most of the time on her own. She'll have spent most of her time here attempting to cultivate followers to do her bidding while she develops schemes to curry favor with their friendly Collector and the residents in general; by now she'll have had the most success with a sport fishing business, where she sends Samudra's
gulliblebravest citizens to swim into the depths and bring back the biggest, baddest creatures they can find to the viewing dome so she can shock the piss out of them and sell them as trophies. How much success is "the most success" is up for debate.Sherlock Holmes | A Study in Emerald
I'm sure you can see where this is going already.
Sherlock's been around since around the beginning, but most of Samudra's inhabitants probably know him instead as Sherry Vernet the stage actor, since introducing himself as "Sherlock Holmes, wanted fugitive and kingslayer" seemed unwise. He's smart enough not to openly broadcast his distaste at being kidnapped and collected by a creature of the pit even more powerful than the ones he sought to overthrow back home, but on the off chance you're someone who's both sympathetic to the cause and good at being discreet it's possible he's told you more about where he comes from and who he is.
But to most he's just Sherry, a good and loyal royalist from an older time who accepts that it's humanity's place to be ruled and guided by betentacled gods from below. If there's a playhouse in the city he likely makes his living there. He's an excellent actor, you know. Come and see him sometime.

Reginald Jeeves | Jeeves & Wooster (My Little Jamjar CRAU)
A gentleman's personal gentleman--that is to say, a valet--from 1920s Britain, Jeeves has been enjoying a somewhat more leisurely life than he had in his previous employment. That isn't to say that he's idle. Oh no, nothing of that sort. But he hasn't found another employer here in Samudra (and might in fact be carrying something of a very quiet torch for his old master, one Bertie Wooster.)
A great deal more subtle than many of his fellows in Samudra, Jeeves never-the-less has more than enough pride to earn him a place here--and he's nothing if not unique.
(He may or may not be trying to maneuver himself into a position where he can be the true power behind the throne of Samudra.)
The Nerd | AVGN
He is a very unique individual to put it lightly and doesn't censor what is on his mind. If he has any friends its surprising, lbr.
Probably has said the following at least once:
'FUCK THIS OCEAN, FUCK THIS MULTIDIMENSIONAL BULLSHIT AND FUCK THIS GOD WHO BROUGHT US HERE"
Haruto Soma | Kamen Rider Wizard (The Games CRAU)
He's been here for about a month, and is starting to settle in the slightest bit. He's very good at pretending that everything is fine even when everything is very much not fine, so the other residents have likely found him to be a grinning, pleasant, charming kind of guy who is quick to make a joke and just as quick to excuse himself when the conversation threatens to get too deep.
