Event: Heart 2 Heart (Plotting)
As with so many happenings in the Meadous, it starts with a letter, one that everyone will find themselves capable of reading, whether or not they usually have that ability. It's accompanied by an extra envelop, as well as a new application on everyone's communications device labeled H2H with a heart icon above it.
Everyone,
I hope you have a lovely day of love! I've not always got Valentine's Day right, but I think I've got it now. Tyvn, Lally, and I have been working on a new little app and we wanted to test drive it with all of you. It's got mechanical and magical components like our new network system, so bear with me while we work out any kinks.
I've got paper forms, digital forms, and ways for you to fill in profiles just via answering questions. Whatever is easiest for you. Heart 2 Heart is a new friend matcher. Or maybe a little more if you're really feeling like you want to hold your special person's hand. =;3 We're trialing it for this week. If you decide to participate, you can create a profile for yourself (or help each other)!
The profiles will be available for everyone to look at on the network OR, if you feel like coming out a bit, we'll be having a party at the Rec Center with profiles posted up around. The Stain is offering free coffee, tea, and cocoa, and I've got some couples activities planned. I hope everyone likes it! The application will try to match you up with likely friendship matches, so maybe you can make a new friend.

Within the envelop is, indeed, a form to fill in. Or maybe you just want to go through the app. Either way, you've got options for getting yourself a profile! Or creating one for someone else. There doesn't seem to be a limit to the number you can create...
HEART 2 HEART
The Events Calendar post for the plot is HERE
This event will take place ICly from February 14th to February 21st. Characters will create profiles using the H2H Profile Form below and have the app match them up to others. Who gets rec'd for friendship with whom is OOCly up to player discretion. This is an app developed by a trio of preteens, though, so it might not have the best algorithms. Maybe you'll find yourself paired up with someone who is your mortal enemy because you both like to cut your sandwiches on a diagonal instead of horizontal (a highly appropriate basis for a friendship).
When your character matches with someone, they'll receive a bing on their network device if they have it on them, or a colorful air message, if they don't, that includes the name of the person and a recommended ice-breaker question taken from the 36 Questions to Fall in Love.
The profiles will be public, both on the network, and posted up in paper sheets around the Rec Center for people to wander over and look through. Those who venture to the Rec Center will be treated to various little activities that they can do with a partner like paint together, board games, a tandem elliptical for those very active couples, multi-player video games, and so on.
Which Mod is running this plot?
Terri is in charge of this plot with support from the other mods.
May I opt out?
Characters do not have to put up a profile or engage in the event, if they don't wish to.
Can we talk to Zephyr?
Zephyr will be available through the usual means.
My character is a troll. Can they create a profile for someone else?
Please discuss this OOCly with the player(s), but yes! Characters can write profiles for each other.
Can a character have more than one profile?
Yes. Yes, they can. Cause mayhem.
Can profiles be taken down?
Yes. It would just require a hand-waved message to Zephyr to ask for them to do that. Now, whether anyone would think to do this...
My character can't write/read to fill in a profile, is there an option for them to participate?
Yes! These characters will receive an extra instruction in the letters they can read (per Zephyr's magic) that instructs them to tap the icon for Heart 2 Heart on their device and a pleasant, gender-neutral voice will ask them in their native language the questions that go into the profile.
Can we lie on the profile?
Absolutely. Go wild.

K is also available for helping others set up their profiles and/or for taking their profile photos for them. This can be handwaved. Have a super cute picture of your character that you're not sure they'd take themself? Just say K took it.
