Season Change: Autumn

Once again, we have the annual seasonal change upon us!

On Sept 22nd, the weather will shift from the warm, balmy summer weather your characters have all grown used to, to a cold autumn landscape. The change happens abruptly. One moment it's all summer heat and warm nights, and the next you'll be clutching your covers a bit close in the morning chill. You can expect a lot of fallen leaves and a significant chance of rain in the form of drizzle. A few partly-sunny days manage here and there, and there are nights when the sky is clear to reflect red stars and the start of a colorful aurora borealis that's particularly notable over the ocean.

With this season change comes a fall staple! A giant pumpkin patch will appear in the center of the open Meadous for your characters to enjoy and explore. These pumpkins will range from the size of a fist to the size of boulders. They will likely form something of a pumpkin maze. Hidden within are troughs where you can go bobbing for apples, sacks for racing, horseshoes for tossing and posts to be tossed at, and all manner of country fair games.

Seasonal animals appearing with the new landscape include:
  • Wild Turkey
  • Wild Horses
All animals are, of course, in the pastel colors you know and love. The turkey tend to spook easily and may surprise you by suddenly bursting out of a berry bush. The horses have a small herd of just six individuals at the moment and can be seen galloping about or grazing in the meadows. They'll run, for the most part, if approached, but those who are persistent (or those who have food) may be able to lure them.

If you guys have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
