Bertie doesn't generally get along well with children buuuut that's mostly because pretty much all of the kids that show up in his canon are absolute terrors. Chances are he thinks Steven's an absolute delight especially since he isn't responsible for taking care of him and is happy to jam with him whenever he stops by!
