Updates, announcements and some changes!
Hey, Team!
Sora, Michi and Terri here! With some new exciting announcements to bring to you. We mentioned it briefly in the mod plurk a few days back, but let us go into further detail for you!
After some discussion amongst ourselves, we decided to add two new tiers to the point system! Fear not, it is nothing complicated. Heck we hope it’ll make things easier for you! We encourage you to ask questions below to help us hammer out any kinks in the system. As a note: These tiers will go into effect for November's AC, so you can start keeping tack of them on November 1st.
-Tagging a NPC will net you 10pts right off the bat. (Just like meeting a new character, those points can add up in a thread.)
-Tagging into a log made by another PC is worth 10pts.
With these new point tiers, we’re also implementing a new way of handling AC. The system will remain the same, but we plan on moving AC to one contained post so players can post ahead of the activity check or during the week per usual.
The new activity check post will consist of posting a blank comment with your character’s name in the header followed by replying to that post with the month in the header and your sweet, sweet points. You can see the format here.
Along with these new point add ons and tweaking of the AC system, we plan on bringing in some more plot heavy events in the near future to further Zephyr's storyline and give player characters more insight to what is going on outside of the Meadous. We've added some new exciting events to reflect this shift to our current Event Calendar.
With this will come some environmental changes such as the Monthly Challenges. Our first can be found here. Challenges will be ongoing issues in the Meadous until players directly address them (or just wait them out if they're seasonal). Characters will need to figure out what's going on. They can do this in any number of ways. There are no set solutions to challenges, it's mostly about the player base experimenting and finding what works!
Players are free to submit their ideas for challenges in the Event suggestion page as well. We're open to trying out what you guys suggest.
As always, if you ever have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please bring them up!
