Hiatus Policy Update

It has come to our attention in the recent months that our hiatus policy is in need of an update, and we would like our players to be aware of the changes that we plan to make. The Hiatus page is here, if anyone would like to read the full scope of our policy. The changes that we have made are as follows:
  • Hiatuses may last up to one month. Extensions may be requested from the mods for emergencies and personal reasons, but they must be communicated to us before AC rolls around. (This was already part of the rule, but we are going to be more strict about enforcing it.)

  • Similarly, AC can only be waived by hiatus for one month at a time. Meaning: If you hiatus for one AC, you can not hiatus for the next one, even if it involves a separate hiatus. The only exception, also like above, is if you come talk to us first. We're more than willing to work with you if there's something serious going on!

  • A hiatus must be at least a week long to exempt a character from AC.

  • If a player passes AC with a save, they may not pass AC with a hiatus the very next month. Like the first two points, we're willing to make exceptions for serious circumstances, so don't be afraid to contact us if something comes up! You will still be required to make up the save points after the hiatus is over, but we might be able to grant you some leeway if you keep us informed of what's going on.

It is our hope that these changes will make We The Lost a better game for all of our players. If you have any questions, feel free to voice them in the comments or message us directly.

These changes will go into effect for February's Activity Check, so please keep this in mind when considering any hiatuses you might have planned for the rest of this month. January's AC will remain unaffected.

Thank you,
-The Lost Mods
